Earthbound and Birds

Why must I just be stuck onto the ground?

If I can't be free, at least let me fly.

The owl flaps its wings without a sound;

I haven't wings, but still I'd like to try.

The hummingbird can hover still with ease,

The stellar eagle glides over the sea,

But hummingbirds' brains are the size of peas.

Those eagles are quite luckier than me.
