Praise you, metamorphosis of the world

With longing and desire, shedding all

Forsaken, full of breath

Turning your cloth into a robe of glory

Transforming dawn

Into three hundred and sixty five varieties

Of beauty and solitude.

Solemn break in the sky

Shaping the earth

with gentle touch

Praise you, metamorphosis

Spoken through time

When leaves hover above a circle of muddy water

When branches twist naked against a grey sky

When flowers weep in a breeze

When heat blurs the concrete

Praise you, with your endless possibilities

I die

Should every winter come,

Though each song may remain unsung

Against a cold sheet of glass

I leave with you,

I start with you

My life in a drop of water

Clinging to bark

You take me with you

More than a companion

So are you, the guided traveller

Revealing their way to none other

but

the end of existence

I praise you until

I may

no longer see, nor feel, nor shiver.
