I was stuck--

in the dark.

And it was scary.

It was terrifying.

The part of me

that was once filled with

wonder and color

and beauty and peace

is gone and replaced by a

cruel, horrid place.

A place that not even

the brightest light can reach.

Until, i met you.

Then a ray of sunlight

shone down in the inky depths

of my soul,

and i saw a flower start to bud.
