Sweet Darkness

Oh World so beautiful,

I can't see you,

But don't think you can fool me,

I can always feel you.

The injustice,

The discrimination,

The pain,

The sadness,

My soul sees everything,

And it burns with madness,

But there are sprinklings of joy,

Now and then,

People who you find,

To be real gems.

Passing their good cheer,

And sailing along,

Making us smile,

Giving us a song.

In times of silence,

I often wonder,

Why these wars,

Why this plunder,

Let's surrender to the good,

Shape the world in the way it should,

Let's exist in harmony I say,

Never give in to cynicism or dismay.

Hope lives on,

Gives us life,

I Believe in Humanity,

Let's make this right.!
