Orchid

Its neck stretches like that of a young lady

revealing exposed porcelain skin pulled taut,

the blossom face upturned finding the sun's rays.

Delicate petals translucent in the light

wanting the warmth, acquiring attention -

I reach out to caress the paper thin skin

knowing my touch will taint its virgin beauty.
