Thanksgiving Turkey?

     "Children, children, gather ye      round!"

They rush to the table without another sound.

"Papa, papa! Can you tell us a       story?"

"Of course, my child. Now          don't you worry."

The Father begins to sharpen his knife.

"Go fetch the turkey, my              dear." He says to his wife.

The Father begins speaking in very hushed tones.

"Kids, I saw your mother            throwing stones! Stoned a            man to death, cooked him,          and ate the meat off his              bones!"

The children's eyes grow very wide.

They fall quiet as their mother steps inside.

"Mama, is that indeed a              turkey you bring?"Says one

child. "Or is it some other

       meat you've compiled?"

The Mother quickly glances around the room.

She spots the Father... is it safe to assume?

"What do you mean by that,

my dear? What's your                  explanation? Come, let me          hear."

The child looks around and slowly steps closer.

The Mother was engrossed in her.

"Mama...we know what you        did! It's sickening!" The child      yelled, pulse quickening.

The Mother smiled and chuckled.

The children's faces blanched, knees buckled.

"Well then, it's time to eat.

I'll cook you all and savor

    your young, tender meat."
