A parking lot at 4 pm

in plain sight for all of them.

A promise made for the Stars to keep,

that on a star and your name

you won't forget me.

Needless to say,

I hoped it was true.

And for the whole of that summer,

I thought about you.

Then it came; our first day back.

I was excited to see you

as a matter of fact.

You called my name

so I turned around.

And there you were;

my prince with his crown.

But here we are

a few months later.

The promise forgotten,

and with the Stars, we lost favor.
