Valuable

Although I keep it protected

and hidden,

I find it difficult to tame.

Sometimes I attempt to expose it,

but it ends up all the same.

I should know it better than anything now;

it's been there all these years.

My heart is most valuable to me,

because it carries all my fears.

The beauty of it is underrated,

that's what makes it unique.

It makes me feel so powerful,

but that's where I am weak.
