A Phantom Shadow

Phantom shade in the shadows,

I'm a wraith at your side

Watch your sanity wane,

As my noxious form solidifies

Consorting with the enemy

You were scheming my demise

Your demons camouflaged

Beneath your candy coated lies.

Now this terror I invoke

Is poisoning your mind

No escaping from my haunting

My ghost's unconfined

As I haunt at your bedside

Wake her with your screams

Lavish you in living nightmares

Destroying every delightful dream

Your happily after

Rendered to rubble by your hands

Choke the life from your new wife

You played into my plan

Plunge my spirit into her flesh

Possession was her fate

Exorcise me with your crazed choke-hold

Your mistake realized too late

As a death rattle escapes her throat

I watch your sanity fracture

They are coming to take you away

Barred asylum for her attacker

My phantom shade in the shadows

My wraith forever at your side

Locked away, I watch your sanity crumble

You should have left me alive.
