Birthmark

I have a view over your left shoulder

(though to me it seems to be the right)

and I can see an unmentioned birthmark

one I still haven't mentioned

but one that I think about when I'm not

visiting; being tended to.

Of all the things we never discussed

(and we discussed a lot)

I kept your birthmark

hidden between my breasts

and I consider it

when I'm feeling hungry,

when I'm not visiting;

being tended to.
